Smart feature checker, better animation discovery in Figma
Smart feature checker, better animation discovery in Figma
This update introduces an advanced feature checker with detailed error reporting, clearer upload limit visibility, and curated featured animations tailored specifically for the Figma plugin.
✨ What’s New
Advanced Feature Checker for Lottie exports
We’ve introduced a brand-new, comprehensive validation system to help you export Lottie animations from Figma with confidence. The plugin now runs 20+ validators that check for common unsupported features such as Inconsistent layer hierarchy, video formats, advanced effects in Figma, and more.
If your Figma design contains unsupported elements as Lottie, you’ll be notified right away with a small banner UI, which will clearly show what’s going wrong, why it’s happening, and—when possible—offers alternative suggestions to help you fix the issue yourself, without guesswork.Upload limit visibility inside the plugin
Previously, users weren’t notified well how many private animations they had already saved to their workspace.
Now, the plugin clearly shows your current private upload count upfront, so you always know where you stand before hitting the limit.
🐛 Improvements & Fixes
Curated featured animations for Figma
Public and premium featured animations in the Figma plugin are now handpicked specifically for Figma use cases. Before, featured animations were shared with the website, which sometimes made it harder for Figma users to find animations that worked well on the canvas. With this update, the Explore tab highlights more relevant, Figma-friendly animations, helping you get inspired and insert the right animations faster than ever.
We’ve also fixed multiple smaller bugs and made stability improvements across the plugin to ensure a smoother overall experience.
Give it a try and boost up your animation workflow with LottieFiles for Figma! 💡
