Figma Motion and Motion Tokens

What’s New

Introducing Figma Motion Support and dotLottie Motion Tokens for Animate. You can now turn Figma animations into Lottie, then keep named motion values editable after handoff.

  • Figma Motion Support (Beta): Plugin now reads motion keyframes from Figma and converts them directly to Lottie, which covers Figma motion presets, transform, opacity, fill and stroke color,trim-path draw-on, auto layout animations and more.

  • Motion Tokens: Create reusable, named motion values from Figma Variables or manually, then ship them in a tokenized .lottie file that stays editable & scalable even after export. You can now make multiple color themes, setting up globalized text values directly in Figma.

Enhancements

  • Save & Download actions now use one combined control in Animate instead of separate split buttons.

  • Export now opens in Figma Design by default instead of Explore.

  • Motion Tokens now appears in the Interactions section when using State Machine mode.
