Curated featured animations for After Effects

Public and premium featured animations shown in the After Effects plugin are now fully curated for AE users.

Previously, featured animations mirrored what was shown on the LottieFiles website, which sometimes included animations that weren’t ideal for inspiration or for converting into shape layers in After Effects.

With this update, all featured animations are handpicked specifically for After Effects, making them more relevant, flexible, and easier to adapt for multiple motion design use cases.

🔧 Improvements & Fixes

Major track matte import fix

• We’ve fixed a critical issue where Lottie animations using complex track mattes could be inserted incorrectly in After Effects. Previously, when a track matte was connected to the wrong layer, it could result in unexpected or broken imports.

• We’ve identified the root cause, and now Lottie animations with complex track mattes should import and behave as expected, giving you a more reliable and predictable workflow.
